About Me

Janet Horrocks Coaching

Born in a small town in West Yorkshire I grew up with a sense of community. Friends and family lived close by or a few miles away. We were surrounded by good neighbours who looked out for each other and shared celebrations. I learned a lot about the good in people from that community.

My parents were hard-working and encouraged me to do my best and embrace any opportunities that would enable me to learn and grow.  Life is full of learning experiences and I have always sought personal growth and understanding. This led to a passion for working with people.

I know what it is to be a daughter; a wife; a mother; a nurse; a company director; an entrepreneur and a coach.  Being part of the lives of those around me and observing them enriched my own life and helped me understand myself and others better. My own journey has had some twists and turns but has always led me back to work to support others in finding their own path.

As a coach, my aim is to create a safe space for you to work within.  A space where you can explore your life, your situation or your difficulties.  Somewhere you can test your thoughts and feelings, a space without judgement that offers an opportunity to explore your own world.  Listening to what matters to you, and helping you explore what could be holding you back can be helpful in moving you towards what you really want to achieve.

The range of skills I have learned and developed over the years has enabled me to work with people in a number of ways. When I qualified as a coach, I knew I would be committed to the growth of my clients.  This in itself was part of another road on my journey where continuous learning and development of my skills have played a big part.  There is always more you can learn so my love of learning is a big asset.
